7-Day / 6-Night Adventure Itinerary: From Ouarzazate to Marrakech

Experience an unforgettable 7-day private desert adventure from Ouarzazate to Merzouga, traveling through the Draa Valley, Lake Iriqui, remote desert tracks, and the spectacular Maharech Oasis. Continue through Ouzina and Erg Ramlia before reaching Merzouga, where you’ll enjoy a sunset camel ride, desert camp, and a full day exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes and nomadic communities.

The journey continues through Nkob, Jbel Saghro, the Valley of Roses, and Dades Gorges before crossing the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Combining off-road desert tracks with scenic paved roads, this adventure offers a unique experience of Morocco’s Sahara, oases, mountains, Kasbahs, and traditional villages.

Day 1: Ouarzazate → Lake Iriqui – Mhamid El Ghizlane

Departure from Ouarzazate via the Draa Valley. Arrival at Lake Iriqui area between Mhamid El Ghizlane and Foum Zguid.
Night in a desert camp in the middle of the dunes.
1st night at Lake Iriqui Camp

Day 2: Lake Iriqui → Maharech Oasis – Sidi Ali

Adventure day through desert tracks. Discover the landscapes until we reach Maharech Oasis near Sidi Ali.
Night in the oasis surrounded by palm trees.
2nd night at Maharech Oasis

Day 3: Maharech Oasis → Merzouga via Ouzina & Erg Ramlia

Full desert day. We cross the Ouzina dunes and *Erg Ramlia heading to the heart of the desert.
Arrival in Merzouga, camel ride at sunset and overnight in tents.
3rd night in Merzouga

Day 4: Full Day in Merzouga

Day to explore. Climb the dunes, visit nomads, do a 4×4 tour around Merzouga and take photos in Morocco’s biggest dunes.
4th night in Merzouga

Day 5: Merzouga → Nkob

Leave the desert and drive towards Nkob. Visit the historic Kasbahs and the traditional architecture of the area.
5th night in Nkob

Day 6: Nkob → Dades Gorges

Beautiful drive today. Pass through Jbel Saghro and the Valley of Roses. Arrival at Dades Gorges with stunning rock formations.
6th night in Dades Gorges

Day 7: Dades Gorges → Marrakech – End of Trip

Final day. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.
Here ends our trip that combined off-road and paved roads, from the desert all the way to the Red City.
